consulting and trading company since 1995 represented by the owner Mr. Klaus W. Hartung, (Transwing Klaus W. Hartung e.K.) opened a permanent gallery, Galerie Hartung – Asian Fine Arts, in the premises of their residence in Darmstadt, Germany in 2011 to present a venue exclusively dedicated to Filipino art and artists to the German and European markets.

 

In May 2013, Transwing® launched “Revisiting Mabini Art” at the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) in Intramuros, Manila. With contributions from notable art historians Prof. Santiago Albano Pilar, Prof. Pearl E. Tan, Ph.D., and Prof. Paul Blanco Zafaralla, Ph.D., the art history book retraces the significance of the Mabini Art Movement in the development of visual arts in the Philippines, with a focus on modernist Francisco “Paco” Gorospe.

Transwing® is also responsible for the reprinting of the German edition of Dr. Jose Rizal’s Noli Me Tangere and supports the printing of the german translation of El Filibusterismo and the distribution of Rizal’s biography by Dr. Dahm in the German language. Transwing® has an important collection of Philippine history and art books and is active in Rizal related topics in Germany.

In July 2014, Transwing Art Gallery Inc. was registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission with office address in Quezon City, Philippines. It has partnered with the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA), Art Association of the Philippines (AAP), Philippine Art Education Association (PAEA), German Club Manila, GSIS Museum and joined trade fairs such as ManilART and ManilaFAME, as well as affordable art fairs such as Art For All Manila and Tiendesitas Art Fair to promote Filipino art.

 

Transwing Art Gallery Inc. has an huge art collection which includes old masters, contemporary masters as well as upcoming artists who are from both fields: fine arts graduates from reputable institutions and self-taught artists who have developed their signature styles. From one of a kind art pieces, Transwing Art Gallery Inc. is able to work with consultants, architects, interior designers and project managers to fill in the requirements of tourism establishments such as hotels and resorts to dress up their lobbies, function rooms, and accommodations with affordable but unique art pieces that reflect the best in Philippine art.

 

Aside from art brokerage, Transwing Art Gallery Inc. acts as a consultant and referral for framing, art conservation, art restoration, exhibition and design, curatorship, art publications, shipping and handling for export.
